Job summary

Lawrence Dean Recruitment is seeking a Buyer to join a small team responsible for all purchasing activities. You will source, negotiate, and manage suppliers, raise POs through the MRP system, and maintain supplier data to support production schedules.

The role requires strong negotiation and cost-analysis skills within a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be organised, proactive and thrive in a fast-paced setting, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while building solid

Qualifications

• Experience in Buying, Purchasing or Procurement, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse cost and supplier performance.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and delivery.
• Raise and manage purchase orders through MRP, ensuring timely supply for production schedules.
• Manage consignments stock levels.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of meeting requirements.
• Support supplier audits in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Maintain records of contracts, supplier agreements, and purchase order histories.
• Cost savings achieved through negotiation and process improvements
• Reporting
