Job summary

Proactive Global in High Wycombe is recruiting a Buyer to manage purchasing in a small-to-medium batch manufacturing environment. The role involves sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, and negotiating terms to support production and engineering teams.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, reporting to the purchasing function and helping to maintain accurate, competitive procurement processes as the business grows.

• Background in Procurement.
• Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and availability
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times and purchasing terms
• Support the preparation of purchasing quotations and material cost estimates
• Liaise with Production and Engineering teams to understand material requirements

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to begin work for a leading manufacturer in High Wycombe.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Buyer to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the business/factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage purchasing activities across a small-to-medium batch manufacturing environment
