Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Buyer (Electronics / Manufacturing) to join a High Wycombe-based electronics manufacturing business. You will manage purchasing across a small-to-medium batch environment, sourcing components and building supplier relationships to support production.

The role offers hybrid working after probation, a salary of £45,000–£50,000 plus training, 25 days holiday, bank holidays, an early Friday finish, and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing components and managing suppliers.
• Experience controlling purchasing costs in manufacturing.
• Background in procurement within electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities across a small-to-medium batch manufacturing environment
• Source and procure materials, components and supplies required for production
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and availability
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times and purchasing terms
• Support the preparation of purchasing quotations and material cost estimates
• Liaise with Production and Engineering teams to understand material requirements

The Role:
