Job summary

Entech Technical Solutions Ltd. in Leicester (near M1) seeks a Buyer / Associate Procurement Specialist to manage procurement for a manufacturing facility. This is a fully office-based role, on a 12-month contract with potential extension, at a rate around £18.50–£25.50 per hour (Umbrella or PAYE).

You will act as the procurement point of contact, develop strategies, evaluate suppliers, renegotiate terms, and report on KPI performance in a driving engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience purchasing for manufacturing facilities, ideally engineering.
• Ability to create procurement strategies with clear cost, time and quality deliverables.
• Experience in supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Point of contact for the procurement team, managing dependencies across the facility.
• Delivery experience in engineering manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Create procurement strategies with clear cost, time and quality deliverables for key stakeholders.
• Supplier nomination and robust evaluation of capacity and capability.
• Management reporting to evidence performance against targets.
• Weekly reporting on outsourcing KPIs.
• Negotiate contracts and agreeing terms and conditions as per standard procedure.
• Maintain risks and opportunities registers.
• Plan and present plan gateways as per internal procedure.

Leicester (around 15-20 mins from J21 Leicester Forest Junction M1)

£25.50 FCSA Umbrella (this role is deemed inside IR35), £18.50 paye – Fully Office Based Mon – Fri 5 days pw

Min 12 month contract, although likely to extend

Specific Responsibilities

• Point of contact for the procurement team, managing procurement dependencies across the manufacturing facility.
• Previous experience of delivering this in a engineering manufacturing environment high advantageous.
• Create the procurement strategies communicating clear cost, time and quality deliverables to key stakeholders.
• Supplier nomination, ensuring robust evaluation of supplier capacity and capability.
• Management reporting to evidence performance against key targets.
• Weekly Reporting on outsourcing KPIs.
• Contract Negotiation and Agreeing T&Cs as per Standard T&Cs procedure
• Managing risks and opportunities registers.
• To plan and present plan gateways as per the internal procedure
• CIPS preferred or currently studying for CIPS

Long term contract (12 months min, although likely to become a long term, ongoing contract)
