Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection is seeking a seasoned Buyer for a leading manufacturing organisation in Cookstown, Northern Ireland. The role focuses on sourcing, purchasing and expediting goods, with an emphasis on cost control and supplier performance to support high-volume operations.

You’ll leverage strong negotiation and Excel skills to manage budgets, forecast demand and optimise stock levels while ensuring accurate records and timely deliveries. 5+ years' experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a Buyer/Purchasing role in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and maintaining records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for procurement data.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase goods, materials, and services aligned with business needs and budgets.
• Manage and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimal price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and optimise stock levels.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
