The Role

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Commercial Team, reporting to project Commercial Leads and ultimately to the Commercial Team Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the commercial performance of procurement decisions across various Healthcare schemes. You will focus on managing the acquisition of modular and elemental components and services, ensuring efficient completion of module assembly and site fit-out.

You will evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate terms and prices, and ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and adherence to specifications. Staying informed on market trends, regulations, and technological advancements will be key. Occasional site visits to suppliers will help build relationships and assess manufacturing processes.

Effective communication, negotiation, and both independent and collaborative work are essential. You will monitor procurement trackers, track supplier performance, and ensure timely deliveries in line with company SOPs.

You will also nurture supplier relationships, explore rebate opportunities, and ensure contractual conditions are met with purchase and subcontract orders. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining standards and delivering results.

• Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to meet cost plan allowances and improve costs.
• Manage suppliers proactively to ensure timely delivery, including during changes to purchase orders.
• Identify alternative suppliers to expand the supply chain.
• On-board new suppliers and ensure compliance with standards.
• Prioritize urgent purchasing needs for factory or site deadlines.
• Manage plant hire budgets and track off-hire confirmations.
• Engage in process improvement and change control activities.
