Must Have's:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement or buying (ideally food industry)
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of cost control and margins
  • Ability to conduct global market research and analyse supply chain risks
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
  • Comfortable working independently – you'll have a high level of autonomy

Nice to Have's:

  • CIPS Level 4 qualification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
  • Experience in international procurement or global supplier management

So, what will you be doing?

  • Sourcing and negotiating with global suppliers of food ingredients and consumables
  • Managing end-to-end procurement – from price negotiation to delivery timelines
  • Building long-term supplier partnerships and monitoring performance
  • Tracking global trends and risks that may affect the supply chain
  • Supporting inventory control using ERP systems and data analysis
  • Communicating key market and supply chain updates to internal teams
  • Ensuring quality and compliance across all purchased goods
