West One Loans is seeking a focused mortgage underwriter to assess loan documentation, valuations and applicant suitability for buy-to-let cases. The role involves managing a pipeline, liaising with introducers, valuers and solicitors, and escalating cases to the Credit Committee when needed.

The successful candidate will perform AML/KYC checks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support robust underwriting decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Experience underwriting mortgage applications, specifically within the BTL market.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulation.
• CeMAP is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite and assess loan documentation, including valuation reports and information from brokers.
• Check applicants and properties for suitability for the loan.
• Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications and provide updates to introducers.
• Refer cases to Credit Committee where required.
