Quantum Mortgages Limited is seeking an experienced Buy-to-Let Mortgage Underwriter to assess and underwrite applications from initial review through to completion. You will make independent decisions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong service for brokers and applicants.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of BTL underwriting, credit risk, regulatory obligations and proficient use of mortgage processing systems. Hybrid working and a supportive team are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Buy-to-Let underwriting and lending criteria.
• Familiarity with AML, FCA, and financial crime indicators.
• Ability to interpret policy and justify lending decisions.

Responsibilities

• Process and underwrite new loans in line with credit policy and procedures.
• Deliver proactive customer service via phone, email and case portal.
• Assess borrower creditworthiness from receipt to completion and maintain data accuracy.
• Support underwriting peers and case management team in compliant service delivery.
• Handle post-offer queries with servicing partners.
