Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking Butchery Operatives for our Westerleigh site. You will join a team on a moving production line producing pork to customer specifications, with training provided to progress within the business.

The role emphasizes quality, food safety and teamwork. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with a focus on safe operation of manual and knife-based tasks in a structured environment at our Westerleigh facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate on a moving production line producing pork to customer specs
• Use industrial knives for trimming, slicing and bone removal with training provided
• Work across department areas as needed
• Follow SOPs and SSOW and maintain quality and food safety standards
• Maintain a positive, proactive, flexible approach to all tasks
• Be open to working in other departments with similar skills
• Report risks or concerns to Technical immediately

We are looking for Butchery Operatives to work at our Westerleigh site.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 06:45am - 16:30pm.

Location: Oakleigh Green, Westerleigh, BS37 8QZ

Key Responsibilities

• Behave in an approachable and professional manner at all times
• Working on a moving production line in a team producing pork to customer specifications. Requires use of industrial knives for trimming, slicing and bone removal - product training will be provided
• Willing and able to operate in all areas of the department
• Willing to undergo training to better support the department
• Adhere to site and department specific SOP’s and SSOW
• Maintain a positive, proactive, flexible approach to all aspects of the job
• Be open to working in other departments with comparative skill requirements

The job holder has a responsibility to maintain a culture of awareness of, and commitment to the highest standards of quality & food safety and as such they must lead by example and report any risks / concerns to Technical immediately
