About the role

We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This role involves working with customers to develop their business, understanding the local market, and delivering excellent service.

The position offers the flexibility to run a butchery business without financial risk. We require someone with good product knowledge of all meat types, who is self-motivated and eager to succeed.

Your responsibilities include

• Maintaining high standards in stock management, food safety procedures, and meat displays.
• Working with the Store Manager to develop a business plan to increase sales and profitability.
• Greeting customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful service with a smile.
• Managing stock levels, stocktaking, and ordering.
• Leading and managing a small team, including staff rotas.
• Cutting meat to order.
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Coordinating deliveries and order pickups.
• Controlling waste.
