Job Title: Butcher

We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This exciting role involves working with customers to develop their businesses, understanding local markets, and providing excellent service.

This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery without financial risk. Ideal candidates will have strong product knowledge of all meat proteins, be self-motivated, and eager to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain high standards across all areas, including stock management, food safety procedures, meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
2. Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop a business plan aimed at increasing sales and profitability.
3. Greet customers, provide advice, answer questions, accept orders, and assist with a friendly attitude.
4. Order and manage stock, including stocktaking.
5. Develop and manage a small team, including staff rotas.
6. Cut meat to order.
7. Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
8. Coordinate deliveries and order pickups.
9. Control waste effectively.
