Job summary

Booker is seeking experienced butchers to run their Butchery Departments with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will work with customers to grow their business, understand the local market, and deliver exceptional service.

This role offers the flexibility to run a butchery business within Booker’s support structure. Key responsibilities include stock control, food safety adherence, staff supervision, and driving sales and profitability while maintaining high meat quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards in stock and food safety procedures, including recording information.
• Display fresh meat and pre-packed meat, and ensure staff morale and customer satisfaction.
• Greet customers, provide advice, answer questions, accept orders and offer helpful service.
• Order and manage stock, including stocktaking.
• Cut meat to order and maintain tools and equipment.
• Coordinate deliveries or order pickups and manage waste.
