Job summary

Henderson Group's EUROSPAR Markethill store is hiring a Butchery Assistant on a 32-hour/week contract, with Monday–Saturday hours 8:45am–3:30pm and some flexibility. You will deliver first-class customer service, ensure quality and display, and maintain hygiene at the butchery counter.

The role requires being 18+, with prior retail or customer-facing experience preferred, and experience in meat/poultry helpful. We offer training and potential progression within our growing butchery operations.

A look into the role:

You' ll join our friendly team to deliver first class customer service, quality & presentation at the butchery counter, maintain great hygiene standards prepare a range of pre- packed products and preparing meat for display following company standards.

Duties of the role will include:

• Cutting and preparing meat products to pre-set standards.
• Ensuring that all hygiene and cleanliness procedures are followed at all times.
• Providing and excellent counter service to our customers- listening to their needs and providing expert advice on our products.
• Great training will also be provided, and there'll be opportunities to progress your career within our Butchery Concessions as you develop your skills.

Skills for Success

• We are looking for team members with personality, passion, energy and a positive attitude, who know how to make our customers smile and provide the very best experience.
• Due to the safety requirements within a butchery counter, candidates must be aged 18 years or above.

Although not essential, it would be ideal if you have:

• Previous retail experience or experience working within a customer facing role
• Previous experience working within a meat/ poultry service environment.

Working Hours
