Job summary

Henderson Group’s SPAR/Foodmarket in Whiteabbey is hiring a Deli Team Member on a part-time basis. You will serve customers, prepare and serve fresh foods, and maintain high hygiene standards across deli counters. Training is provided, and a positive team attitude is valued.

The role offers 12–22 hours per week, across Monday–Sunday, 6:00am–3:00pm with flexibility. Salary ranges between £11.90 and £13.25 per hour, with great benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• No previous retail or foodservice experience required.
• Full training will be provided to new team members.
• Looking for personality, energy and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Listen to and understand customers’ needs and advise on products and services.
• Provide first-class service to all customers.
• Prepare, cook and bake goods with food safety in mind.
• Keep prep areas and counters clean and tidy, including kitchen duties.
• Work as part of a team to keep SPAR deli counters fresh and appealing.
• Undertake other duties as required.

Deli Team Member

Pay rates ranging from £11.90 - £13.25 per hour depending on your age and great benefits. Part-time positions available at 12 - 22 hours per week, working within the hours of Monday to Sunday, between 6:00am – 3:00pm with a degree of flexibility required.

Our Deli’s are a convenient place for our customers to stop for breakfast, lunch or great coffee on the go. Our hard-working and friendly team make it all happen- from preparing delicious food, delivering first class customer service at the deli counter, or maintaining great hygiene standards by keeping the prep and service areas clean. You’ll be supported by a team of brilliant people, and there are fantastic career development and progression opportunities.

As Deli Team Member you will:

• Listening to and understanding our customers' needs and advising customers about our products and services.
• Provide a first-class service to all of our customers.
• Prepare, cook and bake goods, working within food safety regulations.
• Keeping prep areas and counters clean and tidy, including kitchen porter and production kitchen duties.
• Work as part of a team to ensure all counters - SPAR Bakery and deli remain fresh and appetizing for our customers.
• Undertake other duties as required for the role.

Skills for Success

• Don’t worry if you have no previous retail or foodservice experience - we’ll provide you with all the right training.

Working Hours
