Interface Recruitment is recruiting a Business Systems Analyst Manufacturing UK for a Midlands-based automotive components manufacturer in Birmingham. This is an onsite role at the heart of a fast-paced production environment—supporting the systems that run the factory: ERP, MES, shop-floor data capture, quality workflows, and supply chain integrations.
You’ll be the link between operations and IT—translating manufacturing requirements into system changes, improving end-to-end processes, and ensuring data integrity across production, inventory, and finance. If you enjoy being close to the plant, working with engineers and planners, and delivering practical improvements that reduce waste and improve throughput, this role is a strong fit.
You’ll own business analysis and functional delivery across core manufacturing systems.
Act as the onsite systems partner for production, planning, quality and logistics teams—owning requirements from discovery to delivery.
Support and enhance ERP workflows across Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, Production Orders, MRP, and Order-to-Cash.
Work with manufacturing teams on MES and shop-floor integration: work order reporting, labour/machine time capture, scrap/rework, traceability and QA holds.
Lead requirements workshops: process mapping, swim-lanes, gap analysis, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Own functional testing: SIT, UAT, regression planning, defect triage, cutover readiness and hypercare support.
Manage integrations and data flows: barcode scanning, label printing, EDI, SFTP file feeds, API-based interfaces—ensuring reconciliation and auditability.
Improve reporting and operational visibility: KPI definitions, dashboards, extracts, and data quality checks (working closely with data/BI teams).
Drive continuous improvement: simplify workflows, reduce manual steps, improve controls, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Maintain documentation: SOPs, process maps, training materials, runbooks, and change records aligned to governance needs.
You’ll work across a connected production systems landscape.
