The role

As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll analyze, develop, maintain, and support engineering software applications to meet business requirements and align with business and IT strategies. You will work as part of a team of analysts, specializing in engineering software used across Babcock, reporting to the Solution Lead, and liaising with internal stakeholders daily. Responsibilities include:

• Investigating operational needs, problems, and opportunities; recommending improvements in processes and organization
• Supporting issue investigation and resolution related to applications
• Assisting with maintenance procedures
• Installing or removing software using provided instructions and tools, including handover to clients
• Conducting tests, troubleshooting, documenting results, and updating configuration management records

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, fully remote, with optional work from Babcock hubs in various locations.

Essential experience

• IT or engineering-related background
• Experience managing and maintaining IT solutions

Knowledge areas (basic)

• Computer Aided Design
• Product Lifecycle and/or Data Management
• Computer Aided Manufacturing, including CNC
• Design Analysis
• Integrated Logistic Support and Technical Publications
• Manufacturing management systems
• Laboratory Management systems
• Project controls, planning, and reporting

Qualifications

• An IT or Engineering degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential

Security Clearance

The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, citizenship, or residency status.
