Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Data & Information Officer to join a dynamic team responsible for producing statutory returns and statistics for Ofsted, DFE and YJB, ensuring high-quality information capture and system use. You will train staff, resolve data issues and contribute to process improvements.
The role requires NVQ3 or equivalent, strong Excel skills, data analysis ability, and a collaborative, organised approach to meet tight deadlines.

Salary: £28,605 -£31,029 Per annum (Pro Rota for part time) (pay Award Pending)
Working Hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Fixed (until 31.03.2027) or Secondment (until 31.03.2027) Line mangers approval needed

The successful applicant will be joining a team who are responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate production of statutory returns and statistical information for internal and external partners including Ofsted, DFE and YJB. The role will be vital in ensuring the capturing and maintenance of high-quality information for the department, to include addressing data quality issues, supporting training and induction of new starters, and producing clear instructions on how to use systems effectively and efficiently. Team members develop their understanding of a variety of services within the department and will have an area of responsibility which will require the post holder to work effectively with minimal supervision.
