Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting a Business Support Officer on a temporary 3-month basis to join the Home Finding Team within the Commissioning for Children, Young People and Families Service. Working with Senior Home Finding Officers, you will help arrange care placements for children in care.
You will maintain information systems, manage contracts and costs, perform due diligence checks, and support timely decision-making through accurate documentation and communication.
Hourly Rate: £13.90 PAYE
Location: Council House and Chelmunds Place / Hybrid. Wednesday's and Friday's are typically onsite days per week, subject to change. 2 days onsite per week.
Working Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 8:50am - 5:20pm, Friday's 8.50am - 4.30pm. 1-hour unpaid lunch per day. 37 hours per week.
Duration: Temporary basis, 3 months.
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, for a Business Support Officer on a temporary basis to join the Home Finding Team within our Commissioning for Children, Young People and Families Service. Working on a full-time basis you will work with Senior Home Finding Officers and colleagues from other service areas to support care arrangements for children we care for.
The Home Finding Team supports children and young people who are unable to live with their families by identifying suitable homes that meet their needs. The team works closely with social workers and providers to coordinate searches, manage contracts and costs, and maintain accurate information. As a Business Support Officer, you will be an important part of this process, helping the team to operate efficiently and ensuring key information, documentation and communications are managed effectively to support timely decision-making for children and young people.
