Full-time Business Studies Teacher – Havant, Hampshire

Are you a passionate and dedicated Business Studies Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity?

GSL Education are searching for an exceptional Business Studies Teacher, with the ability to also teach Maths or Geography, to join a dynamic secondary school in Havant, starting in September 2025. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) eager to make a positive impact in a supportive learning environment.

About the Role:
As a Business Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons in Business Studies, and also contribute to teaching Maths or Geography depending on your skills and school needs. You will inspire students to develop a strong understanding of business concepts and related subjects, encouraging analytical thinking and real-world application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies and either Maths or Geography.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
• Differentiate teaching approaches to meet diverse learner needs.
• Participate in school activities such as extracurricular programs, trips, and departmental initiatives.
• Uphold high standards of student behaviour and engagement in line with school policies
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Business Studies and the ability to teach Maths or Geography at the secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that engage students.
• Excellent classroom management and motivational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated teaching.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
