Job summary

Worldpay seeks a Business and Strategy professional to join its International Strategy team in London. You will shape and drive strategy and execution priorities for the business and help expand global commerce.

The role blends strategic analysis with hands-on project delivery across Europe and beyond. You will own discreet strategic initiatives, perform market research, and present concise reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy and project-based business change delivery.
• Abilty to understand underlying business challenges and what needs to change.
• Quantitative market research experience; knowledge of payments/business models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support discreet projects to support the strategy.
• Full project lifecycle management from scoping to execution.
• Own parts of periodic strategy refreshes for International Platforms.
• Monitor trends shaping the payments ecosystem and assess implications for products and partnerships.
• Assess market movements for geography, customers and partners.
• Develop market expansion plans and requirements.
• Identify opportunities and risks, distinguishing structural changes from short-term movements.
• Produce concise, decision-oriented reports for senior leadership.

We’re looking for a Business and Strategy professional to become a core member of our International Strategy team, to shape and drive the strategy and execution priorities of our business and help shape the future of global commerce.

What You’ll Own

Our team defines and executes what the business needs most, so can be varied across functions and disciplines depending on the project.

• Driving and supporting discreet projects to support the strategy.
• Full range of the project life-cycle from scope, initiate and execute strategic projects derived from the analysis.
• Owning and delivering aspects of periodic strategy refreshes for the International Platforms business.
• Monitoring and analysing trends shaping the payments ecosystem, including changes in customer behaviour, technology, regulation, payment methods, distribution models, and industry economics.
• Assessing the strategic implications of market movements for the company’s products, customers, partnerships, and geographic footprint.
• Developing market expansion plans and requirements.
• Identifying emerging opportunities and risks, distinguishing structural changes from short-term market developments.
• Producing and presenting concise, decision-oriented reports and presentations for senior leadership.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in strategy and project-based business change delivery work.
• Extreme curiosity to understand and think through the underlying challenges of the business and what needs to change to solve them.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into discreet projects.
• Experience of quantitative market research and knowledge of ISV-led payments and B2B2C business models.
• The ability to navigate change with confidence and adapt quickly in an evolving global environment.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

About The Team

Our Strategy team for Platforms, International is responsible for the growth of our Platforms business outside of North America and Canada. The team is HQ'd out of London with a significant presence in Australia covering the needs of the ANZ organisation.
