Global Payments is seeking a Partner Activation Manager to join our Platforms team in London. You’ll own end-to-end activation of new partner relationships, guiding contracts from signing to first live merchants while coordinating cross-functional teams.
You’ll balance project management with stakeholder engagement, ensure timely go-lives, and drive improvements to onboarding, KYC/KYB, API testing and certification. Join a global payments leader and help shape the future of platforms in the UK.
Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Partner Activation Manager to join our ever evolving Platforms team and help shape the future of global commerce.
The Partner Activation Manager is the delivery lead for new platform partnerships, owning the journey from signed contract through to the partner's first live, processing merchants. This is a project and stakeholder management role sitting at the intersection of sales, product, technical integration and operations , ensuring every new partner is activated smoothly, on time, and set up for long-term growth.
You will be the primary point of accountability for onboarding pace and partner experience during activation, coordinating internal teams (technical integration, risk & underwriting, product, legal, operations) and external partner stakeholders to convert a signed deal into live revenue.
Own end-to-end project management of new partner activations, from contract execution through technical integration, testing, underwriting/risk approval and go-live of the first processing merchants.
Build and maintain a clear activation plan and timeline for each partner, tracking milestones, dependencies and risks, and proactively resolving blockers to keep activations on schedule.
Act as the primary point of contact for newly signed partners during onboarding, setting expectations, managing communications and building confidence in Worldpay for Platforms from day one.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions/Technical Integration, Risk & Underwriting, Product, Legal and Operations to sequence activities and unblock dependencies.
Manage partner onboarding requirements including KYC/KYB, underwriting documentation, API/integration testing and certification, and platform configuration.
Track and report activation pipeline status, timelines and key metrics (e.g. time-to-activate, time-to-first-live-merchant) to the Head of Sales, UK & EMEA and wider leadership.
Identify recurring friction points in the activation journey and work with Product and Operations to improve process, documentation and tooling.
Support a smooth handover from activation into steady-state partner/account management once the partner is live and processing.
Proven experience project managing complex, multi-stakeholder onboarding, implementation or activation processes , ideally in payments, fintech, or B2B SaaS/platform businesses.
Comfortable managing several concurrent partner activations at varying stages, prioritising effectively under time pressure.
Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence and coordinate across sales, technical, risk and operational teams without direct authority.
Clear, confident communicator, able to manage partner relationships professionally through both smooth and challenging moments.
Working knowledge of payments concepts (acquiring, KYC/KYB, underwriting, API integrations) is highly desirable; willingness to build this knowledge quickly is essential.
Organised and detail-oriented, with experience using CRM or project tracking tools (e.g. Salesforce, Jira, Hubspot ) to manage workflow and reporting.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and comfortable identifying process gaps and driving improvements, not just following a checklist.
