Job description

Job Title: Business Skills Coach

We are seeking a Business Skills Coach to join our friendly team, delivering high-quality training programmes to develop apprentices' knowledge, skills, and behaviours for Level 3 and 5 Leadership and Management Programmes.

Location: Hybrid working model with remote work and occasional travel to customer sites and our Pearson office in central London. All travel expenses will be paid.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver personalised learning programmes supporting apprentices in gaining required knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  2. Contribute to assessment, eligibility, onboarding, and induction processes.
  3. Provide coaching, arrange visits, and support apprentices in developing workplace skills.
  4. Assess apprentices against criteria, provide feedback, and manage e-portfolios.
  5. Conduct assessments within set timeframes and monitor progress.
  6. Utilise e-portfolios and virtual learning environments effectively.
  7. Deliver face-to-face and virtual classroom sessions.
  8. Track progress, conduct reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  9. Maintain accurate records and support programme development.
  10. Participate in CPD activities and support other qualifications as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified trainer and assessor with experience in Level 3 and 5 Apprenticeships.
  • Industry experience in a senior management role.
  • Effective management of learners and caseloads.
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance delivery.
  • Demonstrable high standards in training and assessment, evidenced through OTLA and standardisation observations.
  • Track record of achieving targets in a target-driven environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Delivery experience of Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeships is desirable.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and ESFA funding is desirable.
