Job summary

Foot Anstey LLP in Bristol is seeking a Business Services Assistant to support core business with customer service and facilities administration in a friendly, corporate environment.

The role covers front-of-house, mail handling, office supplies, IT equipment, meeting rooms, travel to other locations, and health and safety support. It requires a professional, proactive attitude and good communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process mail, couriers, scanning, copying, binding and laminating.
  • Manage stationery and IT consumables; maintain stock levels.
  • Support new starters and leavers with workspace and equipment setup.
  • Maintain meeting rooms and client areas; arrange AV and catering.
  • Provide front-of-house reception, visitor management and support.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with health and safety tasks and First Aid responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel to other office locations and extra duties as needed.

What you’ll do

As a Business Services Assistant your day-to-day will be varied giving you the opportunity to learn and grow your career in a friendly, corporate environment. using your skills to provide general customer service and admin support to the business.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, couriers, scanning, photocopying and document production, including binding and laminating.
  • Manage stationery, IT consumables and office supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Support new starters and leavers with workspace, equipment and office set-up requirements.
  • Maintain meeting rooms, client areas and office facilities, including AV set-up and catering support.
  • Provide a professional front-of-house service, covering reception, visitors and events as required.
  • Liaise with contractors, engineers and service providers, supporting the smooth running of office operations.
  • Support health and safety compliance, including Fire Warden and First Aid responsibilities where required.
  • Travel occasionally to support other office locations and undertake additional duties as requested by the Office Manager.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work flexibly, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Good IT literacy, attention to detail and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • An interest in workplace operations, facilities management and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and practices (desirable).
  • Ability to work 36.25 hours per week on a shift pattern between 08:00 and 18:00.
  • A shared passion for innovation, collaboration and achieving great results together.
