Job summary

Bighams Limited is seeking a driven master data professional to own and improve master data quality across the business. The role combines hands-on responsibility for Food master data and costing assurance with leadership of governance, process improvement and business change initiatives.

The role focuses on three areas: Food master data and costing assurance, governance and improvement, and support for projects and business change.

• Experience in master data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and change management skills.
• Ability to lead process improvements across data domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead the master data governance program across Food master data and costing assurance.
• Drive data quality improvements and controls to ensure accuracy from the outset.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to implement agreed ways of working.

Job description

To improve the quality, ownership and use of master data across the business, so that teams can work more efficiently, make better decisions and rely on consistent information. The role combines hands-on responsibility for Food master data and costing assurance with wider leadership of master data governance, process improvement and business change. It will help ensure that data is accurate from the outset, responsibilities are clear and agreed ways of working are embedded across the business.

The role will focus on three areas:

• Food master data and costing assurance – approximately 40%
• Master data strategy, governance and improvement – approximately 40%
• Support for projects and business change – approximately 20%

Working with functional leaders, data owners and specialist teams, the role will provide the structure, challenge and support needed to improve data quality, strengthen controls and deliver sustainable change.
