We are looking for an ambitious and strategic minded person to join the fast paced Development and Acquisitions team as a Business Planning Officer. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the accurate monitoring and reporting of financial and operational performance information.

What you’ll be doing

You will assist in producing statistical, financial and performance information. Providing insight, clarity and integrity of data, translating this into meaningful information and reporting in a simple and consistent way which is understandable to all areas of the business.

You will also be responsible for fostering strong working relationships with funding bodies and partner organisations. Providing regular updates and information related to the obtaining of grant funding.

You will work closely with various teams throughout the directorate, facilitating and managing the flow of information in order to maintain a high level of output and performance.

You will also support the identification and generation of efficiencies through the introduction of new ways of working and opportunities provided through more effective use of IT and the implementation of continuous improvement practices.

What we’re looking for

To join our Development team, we’re looking for someone with:

a Qualification at Level 4 of the Regulated Qualification Framework or working towards;

business planning and project management skills;

experience of managing and interpreting complex data sets and drawing conclusions, reporting on these and delivering findings to wider audiences;

evidence of setting and achieving performance targets;

evidence of working in a challenging environment with competing deadlines;

evidence of managing and monitoring business risk including making recommendations to mitigate risk, and

evidence of effective communications with stakeholders,managers and employees.
