Job summary

FIS in the United Kingdom is seeking an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor Specialist to provide guidance to line managers on ER matters in accordance with policies and UK employment law.

You will conduct investigations into grievances and ethics cases, manage TUPE and redundancy consultations, and handle sensitive terminations, while delivering targeted training for managers on ER topics.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to mediate disputes and negotiate agreements.
  • Strong in-depth understanding of UK employment law.
  • Experience conducting investigations into HR-related grievances and ethics cases.
  • Ability to manage TUPE and redundancy consultations (collective and individual).

What You Will Be Doing

As an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor Specialist you will work as a trusted advisor with line managers across the business, providing advice and guidance on UK employee relations matters in accordance with our policies and procedures, to ensure a fair and consistent approach. Key responsibilities will include~

  • Guidance and Compliance~ Provide expert guidance to management on employee relations matters including disciplinary, performance, grievance and flexible working, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
  • Investigation~ Conduct thorough investigations into intricate, HR-related employee grievances and ethics cases, resolving conflicts and recommending appropriate actions
  • Consultation~ Manage consultation actions such as TUPE and redundancy consultation (both collective and individual consultation)
  • Terminations~ Handle sensitive, in-depth, involuntary terminations
  • Training~ Deliver training programs for managers on employee relations topics, such as conflict resolution and effective communication. Policy coaching for managers on performance management, disciplinary and flexible working process

Years Of Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in an employee relations specialist or HR generalist role.
