Job summary

Derbyshire Constabulary is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to enhance analytical capabilities through cloud-based Power BI analytics. The successful candidate will operate and maintain a BI service, generate analytics, and support reporting across the organisation. Join us as a Business Intelligence Developer where you’ll further our analytical capabilities by assisting the alignment of workstreams to business needs and advancing products for use across the wider organisation ensuring opportunities for self-managed access are maximised.

Salary: £37,692 - £45,147

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate an effective cloud based BI service through maintenance of architectural standards and frameworks.
• Generate business focussed analytics using advanced techniques to support the aims of the force.
• Provide expertise for progress of Power BI reporting and use Azure/external data assets to support development of analysts across the force.
  
  

The must haves

• Experience using Microsoft Power BI to create reports/dashboard and assisting in their rollout.
• Data modelling knowledge with appreciation for performance optimisation using DAX calculations/reports.
• Experience in data visualisation and usability design.
