Job description

Business Intelligence and Analytics Team Leader

A n excellent opportunity has opened within ourBusiness Optimisation team a Business Intelligence and Analytics Team Leader at London Gateway.

This is a strategic, high impact role where data isn't just about reporting it's about driving real business change. You will manage reporting frameworks and deliver insights that shape operational and commercial decisions across UK terminals.

Hours: Monday – Friday – 9am – 5.30pm

How you will contribute:

  • Conduct in depth data analysis and present actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver regular and ad hoc reports to support business decision-making
  • Design and implement automated reporting solutions to streamline data delivery and reduce manual effort
  • Lead the development and standardisation of reporting frameworks across UK terminals
  • Manage global dashboard reporting and five-year planning models
  • Integrate and maintain global dashboard data aligned with group KPIs and timelines
  • Develop forecasting models to support investment, capacity, and growth strategies
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to align models with corporate strategy
  • Ensure all customer-centric reports are accurate, approved, and delivered with full context
  • Oversee the day today activities of your team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports and insights

What you will bring:

  • 2–3 years of experience in data analysis and reporting roles
  • Strong experience in data analysis and report preparation
  • Proven ability to conduct trend analysis to identify patterns and insights
  • Skilled in creating and delivering clear, insightful reports for stakeholders
  • Extensive experience with Power BI, Quickview (or similar), including data modelling, visualisation and dashboard creation
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring a small team
  • Understanding of Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and port logistics workflows
  • No university degree required, but a strong understanding of relevant systems is essential

  • A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.
  • No unspent criminal convictions.
  • Due to manufacturing guidelines on equipment and site safety critical health and safety requirements, we have strict weight and medical requirements that need to be met and maintained. For our safety critical roles health and medical and fitness checks are performed. Requirements include, but are not limited to, weight, height, blood pressure and hearing.
  • We may close our roles early, depending on the number of applications received.
