Job Title: Operations Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Shoreham-by-Sea (Hybrid role)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Private Equity backed ICT Services business at a time when the Data and Analytics function is core to the next phase of growth.

The Data and Analytics team is responsible for the continued growth of data and analytics capabilities within the business, across all divisions, acquisitions, and products of Focus Group.

The purpose of this position is to support the creation, production, and regular tracking of Performance, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Effectiveness across the Support and Delivery functions, providing extensive exposure to the company's operations.

This role is key to providing the board of directors with analysis to highlight performance, trends, concerns, and achievements.

Role is based in HQ offices in Shoreham by Sea, with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Support data-driven decision making by providing insight and data analytics for the Operations function.
• Manipulate, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
• Create data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations to support the business.
• Collaborate with data engineering on data ingestion and modeling projects.
• Provide critical analysis to the board of Directors.
• Respond to reports and queries promptly.
• Analyze statistical information and identify trends.
• Contribute to the development of analytics capabilities within the business.

Requirements

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Experience supporting data analysis to aid decision-making.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with large data sets.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ambitious, inquisitive, and a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Desired Skills

• Experience with star schema and multi-dimensional data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages for data analysis.
• Experience with DBT and Snowflake.
