Harrow Council's Business Intelligence Team, within its Digital, Data and Customer Experience Division, is recruiting an analyst to turn performance and management information into evidence for senior decision-makers. The post is hybrid and supports Adult Social Care, so knowledge of social care data is useful.

Candidates need a degree or equivalent experience, plus advanced ICT and statistical skills, with responsibilities spanning data collection, analysis, and strategic planning.

• Proven research experience involving data handling, analysis and interpretation.
• Experience working with Local Authority or similar data.

Skills & knowledge

• Advanced ICT skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, SPSS or similar tools
• High-level written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of statistics, from a relevant qualification or significant practical experience
• Understanding of how data is stored in large systems and how reporting tools extract and analyse it
• Familiarity with balanced scorecards or other recognised performance management approaches
• Knowledge of how contextual information can inform decisions

Other

• Clear understanding of Harrow's diverse communities and the implications for strategy and performance
• Awareness of local government services and organisational structures

Nice to have

• Prior experience of, or knowledge of data in, Adult Social Care
