Job summary
Siemens Gamesa, part of Siemens Energy, seeks a Business Improvement Support in Hull. You will drive continuous improvement across Operations, supporting lean manufacturing, 5S, and JFI-driven projects.

Qualifications
- Experience using hand tools and practical joinery skills.
- Experience with power tools and maintenance/handyman activities.
- Strong health and safety awareness in manufacturing environments.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience supporting process improvements or production activities is desirable.
- Knowledge of contractor management, permitting processes, or equipment control systems is advantageous.
- B1, B2 and B3 licences are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Operations and the Business Improvement Team to identify and implement improvement opportunities through the Just Fix It (JFI) system.
- Support delivery of higher-level business improvement projects and site enhancements.
- Assist with Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency and standards.
- Install, relocate, and transport equipment and site assets as required.
- Create and maintain documentation to support improvement projects and processes.
- Support contractor management, permitting and ensuring site compliance.
- Assist with Non-Conformance actions and continuous improvement from quality investigations.
- Review tooling and equipment in the KMS and identify defects or unavailable assets.
- Coordinate with Quality Engineering to ensure calibrated tooling is available for production.
- Contribute to a safe, efficient and improving working environment across the site.

As a Business Improvement Support team member based in Hull, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Working closely with Operations, the Business Improvement Team, Quality Engineering, and Production teams, you will support a wide range of improvement projects generated through the Just Fix It (JFI) process, Key Management System (KMS) reports, and general site improvement activities. Your day will involve hands-on tasks, equipment installation and movement, contractor coordination, documentation support, and contributing to lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives that help improve efficiency, safety, and operational performance.

- Experience or understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
