Job Description:

We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Business Development Representative (E-bikes) to join our team and expand our brand presence in the UK. This individual will focus on identifying and engaging potential distributors, building strong relationships with retail partners, and driving sales growth in the e-bike sector. The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with prospective clients to catalyze business development success. This individual will schedule meetings with clients to understand their needs and will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to uncover new leads and opportunities through various marketing methods, including emails, phone calls, and in-person visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and Identify New Distributors: Actively research and identify potential distributors and retail partners for our range of high-quality e-bikes in the UK market.
  • Generate Appointments: Use proactive outbound prospecting methods—such as email, phone calls, video calls, and in-person visits—to initiate contact with prospective partners, introducing our products and services.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing Teams: Collaborate directly with sales and marketing to discover and leverage opportunities from leads.
  • Build and Nurture Relationships: Develop long-term relationships with distributors, retailers, and key decision-makers, offering them the tools and support they need to succeed.
  • Market Expansion: Drive the growth of our market share by promoting the benefits and unique selling points of our e-bikes to new and existing partners.
  • Track and Report Sales Activity: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, meetings, and follow-up actions, providing regular updates on sales progress and outcomes to management.
  • Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the e-bike and cycling industry to better serve partners and effectively position our brand.

Requirements:

  • Previous Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales (or a similar role) within the cycling industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and sales processes.
  • Knowledge of the Cycling Industry: Familiarity with bicycles and, in particular, e-bikes, including product features, benefits, and key trends in the industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to initiate contact, build relationships, and negotiate effectively.
  • Self-Motivated and Independent: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, with a high level of initiative and a results-driven attitude.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills to track leads, appointments, and sales activities.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Representative, based in the UK and preferably around the London area or an easily commutable distance. The role will involve tasks such as inside sales, lead generation, communication, sales, and business development on a day-to-day basis.
