The Business Development Representative (Events) supports the strategic activities for selling TAG Events’ offerings, focusing on developing and converting potential opportunities into confirmed business, generating quality leads, and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline. This role collaborates closely with divisional leaders and the Commercial team for referrals.


Role

Responsibilities include:

  1. Generating new leads and maintaining a sales pipeline aligned with company and client targets.
  2. Managing contacts related to the Events offering.
  3. Utilizing and supporting Events staff to increase business from existing clients.
  4. Building a network of connections and proactively attracting prospective clients.
  5. Establishing relationships with potential and existing customers to identify untapped leads.
  6. Tracking client interactions and updating CRM tools accordingly.
  7. Collaborating with the Commercial team for cross-divisional referrals.
  8. Meeting KPIs for appointments and business conversions.
  9. Completing the end-to-end business development process.
  10. Working with Marketing on promotions.
  11. Anticipating client expectations to improve services.

  • Upholding TAG’s reputation for high-quality service and professionalism.
  • Participating in management meetings and promotional events.
  • Developing knowledge in business development methods.
  • Staying informed on industry developments.
  • Responding to market conditions appropriately.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

  • Degree or equivalent experience in related fields or the events industry.
  • Knowledge of the Events market, preferably within a TMC client-base.

  • Business development skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to manage workload and support team objectives.

The Where and When

This is a full-time (35 hours/week) role based in London, with a flexible hybrid working model. You will report to the Global Director of Events and may collaborate with regional teams worldwide.
