About the opportunity

At Contentful, we are always searching for top candidates to join our global team of Business Development Reps. We are particularly interested in individuals who would like to pursue a career in sales and can work with our Benelux customer base on a fluent Dutch level.

This position is one of the first touchpoints that our customers and potential prospects will have with the Contentful brand. It requires an organized, motivated individual to research and understand the marketplace as well as how Contentful can help organizations drive digital transformation and deliver top customer experiences. As an Enterprise Business Development Representative, you will interact with customers across various industries and work closely with Regional Sales Executives and supporting teams to generate new business.

This role includes participating in our Contentful training program, focusing on developing highly skilled professionals through a multi-level, hands-on learning process with increasing responsibilities and earning potential.

Note: This is an onsite role based in Central London.

What to expect?

• Gain in-depth knowledge of customers, industry, and Contentful’s solutions
• Manage campaigns and outreach to new prospects
• Conduct lead generation activities using LinkedIn and other tools, including outbound calling, emailing, and social outreach
• Book at least 1 sales appointment per day and record all activities in CRM
• Send weekly activity reports to sales leadership
• Collaborate with Account Executives to hand off qualified prospects
• Educate AEs on qualification meeting details (SLAs)
• Meet or exceed opportunity and pipeline targets monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Build relationships with decision-makers across industries

What you need to be successful?

• 1-2 years of work experience preferred; previous SDR/BDR experience is advantageous
• Fluency in English and Dutch (mandatory)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to understand customer needs and challenges
• Proactive qualification of customer needs
• Ability to articulate business opportunities and contentful's fit
• Relationship-building skills
• Self-starter attitude
• Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
