This position is 100% remote and based in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Ireland, or Germany.

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Revenue Marketing team. Your role involves initiating outreach to targeted Enterprise and Mid Market accounts, working closely with Field and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams. You will use creative marketing and sales tactics to engage various buyer personas, introduce GitLab’s value, and generate qualified meetings and pipeline for our sales team. Our BDRs come from diverse backgrounds, often with experience in closing roles or team management.

We provide extensive onboarding and training to equip you with the necessary DevOps and GitLab knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives effectively.
  • Conduct high-level discovery conversations with target accounts.
  • Meet or exceed sales opportunity targets sourced by BDR activities.
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts using industry knowledge.
  • Use multiple touchpoints (call, email, social) on prospects in your territory with Groove.
  • Manage, track, and report activities and results via Salesforce.
  • Document processes in the GitLab handbook and update with your Business Development Manager.
  • Support and participate in regional marketing events and field marketing activities.
  • Mentor new BDR hires in managing key accounts.
  • Work with Digital Marketing to develop targeted marketing tactics.
  • Partner strategically with the Sales Team for prospecting in assigned territories.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in Polish is required; Russian is a plus.
  • Experience covering the CEE, CIS, and South East Europe regions.
  • Excellent phone, listening, and writing skills with a positive, energetic approach.
  • Ability to meet or exceed KPIs daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Proven track record as a self-starter with credible achievements.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and work ethic.
  • Knowledge of business processes, roles, and organizational structures.
  • Determined, growth-oriented, and passionate about GitLab’s mission.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Previous experience in tech sales development, marketing, or sales is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
