Job Description:

We are seeking a self-driven, polished individual enthusiastic about contributing to the success of our rapidly growing company. The primary responsibility of the BDR is securing appointments for apexanalytix sales representatives and supporting them to convert opportunities to closure. The BDR will also be involved in prospecting and lead generation to introduce apexanalytix’s services and product suite to decision makers at prospect companies, gathering information on potential software and service needs. Most leads are generated from cold calls, so we’re seeking someone that is a go-getter, persistent when attempting to connect with prospective clients. The compensation package rewards the BDR substantially for achieving sales appointment and closure goals. Appointments are generated primarily from cold calls, marketing campaigns, and industry event follow-up. The BDR will work with and update a contact and customer relationship management database. This is a work-from-home role in the UK. This role requires fluency in German.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Set quality meetings for sales executives to achieve new business revenue targets by conducting cold calls to potential clients to gather contact information for new leads that result in appointments for sales VPs.
  • Provide timely follow-up on marketing campaigns.
  • Create and execute targeted campaigns, working with the marketing team to maintain relationships with prospects and convert them to customers.
  • Use social networking websites, business directories, and web searches to prospect new leads.
  • Respond to inquiries from the 800 number and website.
  • Research target accounts, add new prospect companies within revenue thresholds, and create a knowledge base of current and historic information (e.g., revenue, competitors, transaction volume, historic audits, ERP systems, software used).
  • Work with Sales Executives to bring accounts to closure.
  • Promote and facilitate attendance at conferences and events.
  • Maintain an accurate and consistent database of leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities. Prepare sales VPs with relevant contact and account knowledge for meetings.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of basic sales principles, processes, and methods.
  • Ability to understand apexanalytix’s value proposition.
  • Knowledge of the industry, market, buying behaviors, competitors, software, and services.
  • Understanding of how businesses market their services to prospective customers.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of sales or business experience preferred but not required, especially in technology sales targeting Accounts Payable or similar.
  • Experience with executive appointment setting agencies is a plus.
  • Experience with B2B, executive calling, requiring patience and persistence.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluency in German (written and verbal).
  • Ability to identify decision-makers, understand their needs, and communicate solutions effectively.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to build internal relationships across departments.
  • Constructive response to rejection or frustration.

Software and Technology Skills:

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Polished personal presentation.
  • Positive, persistent work approach.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • A physical telephone line is required.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about contributing to a growing company.
