Description

Sales Business Development Manager (Broadcast TV & Digital Media)

Job Title: Business Development Manager (Sales)

Reporting to: Director

Working Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to work weekends, bank holidays and additional hours)

Salary: Competitive based on knowledge, skills & experience

Company Location: Head Office – IG2 7BS.
While the role requires full-time office-based attendance, flexibility may be required regarding hours and location depending on business needs.

We are looking for an excellent salesperson who is results-driven, self-motivated, and can thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with senior management, colleagues, and high-profile guests and associates. A good network within the UK Muslim community and an understanding of the principles and values of the company is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop existing customer accounts and actively prospect new accounts to meet sales forecasts and revenue targets.
  • Liaise with the sales team and senior management to contribute to the development of sales strategies.
  • Arrange meetings with clients to discuss and analyze their requirements.
  • Compile and analyze sales figures, prepare proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities, and undertake market research as necessary.
  • Provide proposals to boost revenue and develop new revenue streams.
  • Take full responsibility for advertising campaigns, liaising with clients, production, and post-production teams from conceptualization to final delivery.
  • Analyze reports to establish current trends across the account base and identify key actions.
  • Respond swiftly to inquiries from clients and potential clients, resolving issues promptly.
  • Negotiate terms for new and existing customers within set price parameters.
  • Submit monthly sales and revenue forecasts as required.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions and seminars.
  • Train and motivate the wider team as appropriate.
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations to clients, senior management, and internal staff as required.
  • Perform administrative and ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in sales, marketing, business development, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 3 years previous sales experience with a proven track record of closing sales and developing customer accounts.
  • Sales experience within the Industrial Chemical / Specialty Chemical Additives industry.
  • Strong commercial skills with the ability to identify new business opportunities and drive them to fruition.
  • Good communication skills and professionalism.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general IT skills.
  • Excellent team player, flexible and adaptable.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Willing to undertake national and international travel as required.
  • Able to manage conflicting deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Stay up to date with products and competitors.
  • Ability to network and build effective business relations with clients and prospective clients.
  • Previous experience in broadcast media sales is an advantage.
