Business Development Manager - Roofing & Solar Manufacturing

Location: Newport - Hybrid structure

Package: £40,000 - £45,000 + OTE of £50,000-£60,000 + All expenses paid + Pension + Progression + Bonus

The company specializes in providing innovative renewable energy solar solutions to a diverse range of clients in the commercial and industrial sectors. With global investment backing, they are poised for continued success. Their focus is on photovoltaics integrated with building architecture.


This role is suitable for someone with previous sales experience and knowledge in the roofing industry. Your primary responsibility will be generating new business for roofing systems. The position offers a hybrid working model, with travel required for client meetings, which can often be minimized through the use of virtual meeting tools like Teams. Typically, travel involves about once a week for client visits. You should be self-sufficient, able to manage your workload, and confident in high-volume cold calling, as well as handling inbound inquiries.


This opportunity is ideal for a motivated sales professional in the roofing industry looking to grow their career and earnings potential.


The Role
  • Selling roofing products to clients across the UK
  • Travel across the UK, with a split between home-based work and client meetings
  • Full sales lifecycle management
  • Converting outbound and inbound calls and leads provided by the business
  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

The Person
  • Sales experience within roofing and solar sectors is preferred
  • Knowledge of roof design and construction is beneficial; CAD skills are a plus
  • Familiarity with solar technology
