BDM - RETAIL LABELLING / AUTO ID SOLUTIONS

HOME BASED / SOUTHERN OR MIDLANDS LOCATION PREFERRED

Basic Salary £40-50K + Generous Commission Incentives + Car /Allowance + Pension + Life Insurance + 34 Days Holidays

Our client is a global leader in connected packaging and traceability technology, delivering smart solutions to help businesses improve efficiency, visibility, and compliance across the retail, supply chain, and logistics sectors. Their offering includes thermal and RFID printing systems, tracking software, label media, and handheld scanning devices, enabling end-to-end asset and product management.

Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition within the UK retail landscape, targeting both store-level operations and the wider logistics and distribution ecosystem and to manage existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate profitable new business across the retail and distribution sectors
  • Identify, target, and engage prospective clients to build a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline
  • Work with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals, tenders, and bid submissions
  • Establish and develop lasting commercial relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Maximise value from deals through effective margin management
  • Provide insight and market feedback to help refine product and positioning strategies
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity and progress reporting

Who We're Looking For:

  • The company want to hear from driven, self-starting sales professionals with experience in technology-led solutions for retail or supply chain sectors. A background in packaging, Auto-ID, labelling, EPOS, or RFID systems is highly desirable. However, if you're a proven new business hunter from a parallel industry with a passion for innovative solutions, full training will be provided.
