Tasks

What you’ll be doing at Renewable Exchange


Your main responsibilities will be to:



  • Identify, target and acquire new owners of renewable energy projects (such as investment funds, asset managers and developers) to support them in optimising the sale of their renewable electricity.

  • Take full ownership of your business development pipeline, delivering value to clients through a relationship-focused sales process.

  • Develop or build upon an in-depth understanding of the UK power market and use this expertise to deliver value to our clients.

  • Build strong, genuine client relationships through, phone, in-person meetings and networking at industry events. Everything we do is focused on a win-win.

  • Be curious! Find innovative ways of adding value to our clients through consultancy, reporting and optimisation services.

The ideal candidate will be:



  • Relationship focused with strong commercial acumen, able to deliver outstanding results for clients and exceed sales targets

  • 2+ years of business development experience with a proven track record.

  • You don't have to have direct experience in the energy industry, but if you do or you've specifically worked with power purchase agreements we'd like to hear from you.

  • An excellent communicator through phone, video calls, email and in-person meetings, with experience of pitching to company directors or equivalent.

  • Motivated and driven to deliver the best service possible to our clients and develop long-term relationships.

  • Confident with presenting complex data sets to deliver high-level insights and analytics to key clients.

  • Based in Bristol or can conveniently commute in a few days a week

  • Passionate about sustainability and accelerating the journey to net-zero.
