This position reports to

Division Manager, Drive Products UK

Your role and responsibilities

Responsible for driving the sales strategy and G2M model for sales of Drive Products within the UK OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and industrial market sector, aligned with the division strategy. This includes low voltage drives, PLC & HMI offerings to various OEMs across different segments and applications within the UK market.

Delivers both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for identifying and developing new OEM sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales of Drive Products to OEM customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the local division.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand their needs, increase their understanding of ABB's Drive Products, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Preparing OEM sales plans for the short to medium term using ABB authorized tools.
  • Performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans if needed.
  • Creating value for customers and ABB, ensuring successful transactions, contracts, and proposals through effective sales techniques.
  • Communicating delivery times, payments, and terms aligned with ABB’s strategy.
  • Supporting marketing activities and developing value propositions.
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales, supporting cash collection and project management as needed.
  • Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department, ensuring technical and financial aspects are in place.
Qualifications for the role
  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with automation equipment preferred.
  • Over 5 years of front-end customer-facing sales experience.
  • Significant experience in Portfolio Management channel sales and Regulation & Legal Compliance.
