About the Role

Due to growth at HF, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Business Development and Marketing Team based in London.

We seek a Business Development Manager to join our esteemed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to establish a name at HF!

What will you be doing?

You will have diverse responsibilities and the chance to influence how business development initiatives are developed and executed. Reporting to the BD Director and collaborating with the Marketing team, you will play a key role in supporting HF’s growth strategies.

You will specifically work with our London Market and Specialised Insurance team, including Marine, Aviation, and Property sectors.

You will coordinate with the Head of London Markets and the BD Director to implement Business Development Governance and Processes, and will be involved in delivering specific projects to support and improve outcomes.

The role is primarily based in London, with some travel to our Glasgow, Manchester, and Leeds offices to work with senior stakeholders there.

You will share key metrics, support bid and tender processes, and ensure proper management and coordination of responses to client reviews, RFIs, RFPs, and ITTs. You will also maintain business development plans and logs to drive activity, including developing a bid library.

You will set up and attend BD meetings with the BD Director to target efforts, and work with marketing to align BD activities with marketing campaigns. You will support the creation of BD collateral such as capability statements, proposals, and presentations. Occasionally, you will liaise with external organizations to enhance publicity and referral activity.

What do I need?

You should have at least 2 years of experience in a Business Development role within a legal or financial services environment. Experience supporting bids and understanding the bid process is essential. You should be a strong networker, capable of establishing and nurturing relationships.

You must be self-sufficient, confident, and able to manage relationships with senior stakeholders. Organizational skills, proactivity, and effective communication are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in developing BD collateral.
