We have an exciting opportunity for Business Development Manager - Export with an FMCG client based in the UK.

Job Title: Business Development Manager - Exports

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

About the role:

The role focuses on Sales & Distribution, aiming to grow market share globally through new and existing customer accounts. Responsibilities include geographical expansion, developing sales networks, maximizing sales revenue via country distributors, and direct customer accounts. The role involves significant travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling sales in assigned markets
  • Range selling to current distributors and finding new distributors for new markets
  • Devising sales and execution strategies to improve top line
  • Driving sales team to source new opportunities via inbound and outbound outreach
  • Expanding country entry and distribution in emerging markets
  • Formulating trade marketing schemes
  • Automating sales processes across markets
  • Penetrating key accounts
  • Monitoring credit to distributors and receivables
  • Achieving sales targets and reporting
  • Driving margins as per targets and budgets
  • Managing manpower productivity and budget utilization
  • Participating in international trade exhibitions and travel
  • Registering products with relevant authorities
  • Ensuring compliance with trading policies, payments, banking, LC protocols, and currency processes
  • Adhering to health and safety laws
  • Monitoring and reporting export activities
  • Controlling distributor stocks and secondary sales
  • Preparing administrative documents like shipping schedules, LC, ECGC documents, licenses, etc.
  • Reducing freight, insurance, and forwarding costs
  • Adhering to systems and processes
