We are a rapidly growing company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of exhibition stands across the UK & Europe. Our team is ambitious, with a strong work ethic and a passion for creative ideas and delivering excellent events for our clients. Approaching our 10-year anniversary, we are re-energized and committed to our growth plans. We now seek a Business Development Manager to join our successful team.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will develop a portfolio of new clients and contribute to the strategic growth of our business. We seek a proactive learner with experience in the exhibition sector or a similar industry. You will work closely with the Sales Manager to increase sales and revenue across the UK and Europe. Additionally, you will manage assigned accounts and foster lasting client relationships.

Key Job Functions:

  1. Perform outbound sales calls to warm and cold prospects, focusing on new business development.
  2. Implement strategies with the management team to meet revenue targets.
  3. Manage accounts for both new and existing clients.
  4. Collaborate with our in-house design team to interpret client briefs and produce award-winning stand designs.
  5. Present tailored proposals and quotations to potential clients.
  6. Research companies and identify new leads by industry and geography.
  7. Build relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and industry professionals.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, ideas, and applications.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Determined, driven self-starter with a proven track record in new business within a similar role or industry.
  2. Strong industry connections with potential clients preferred.
  3. Confident, positive, and enthusiastic personality.
  4. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, including closing abilities.
  5. 3-5 years of experience in sales or account management.
