Job description

In this role, you will work in Veson Nautical's Data Intelligence division, which combines leading brands such as VesselsValue, Q88, and Oceanbolt into a suite of online, analytical, and regulatory products for the maritime sector.
We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented individual to join our global business development and lead generation team within the Data Intelligence business unit. This role involves building and leading a high-performing team of Lead Generation executives to sell our data solutions and services, driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve personal targets and lead by example in managing a team of Lead Generation Executives, providing coaching, mentorship, and training.
  2. Implement and oversee a newly formed Associate Program aimed at young professionals and early career development.
  3. Develop and execute effective sales strategies for the data intelligence product portfolio.
  4. Ensure your team meets targets and objectives.
  5. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  6. Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify new sales opportunities.
  7. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Contribute to the growth and success of the data intelligence department.
Qualifications:
  1. At least 2 years of senior-level experience in sales, business development, or lead generation, with mentoring and team leadership experience in DaaS, Market Data, Data Intelligence, SaaS, or related services, preferably in maritime, commodities, or trading industries. Cross-training from sectors like banking, finance, insurance, risk, and regulatory B2B is welcome.
  2. Proven success in exceeding sales targets and developing high-performing teams.
  3. Experience with outreach via cold calling and familiarity with sales tools like Salesforce, Zoominfo, SalesHub, Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  4. Strong understanding of subscription sales and B2B sales methodologies.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  6. Ability to coach and motivate others effectively.
  7. Data-driven decision-making skills.
  8. Knowledge of the maritime industry and data intelligence landscape is a plus.
