AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to grow a diverse account base across freight forwarding services. You will develop strategic plans, identify new clients, and present integrated logistics solutions while coordinating with operations and management to meet revenue goals.

The role demands strong negotiation, CRM data management, and the ability to build lasting partnerships across local and international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Completed further training as a forwarding specialist.
• 3+ years of B2B sales experience in Freight Forwarding (air/ocean preferred).

• Develops new business across all core competencies.
• Identify, initiate and engage with clients to provide sustained revenue across multiple services.
• Develop and execute a business plan to achieve sales quota and budget defined by the company.
• Collaborate with local, regional and international operations to meet customer needs.
• Present a range of logistics solutions enabling multiple entry points into accounts.
• Support and consulting of existing customers and further development of professional cooperation.
• Conducting sales and negotiation meetings.
• Preparation of offers and calculations.

Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating, growing and managing an account base. Accountable to directly identify and initiate development efforts. Develop and execute a field sales business plan that will achieve the corporate revenue goals. Accountable to directly identify and initiate business development opportunities

Responsibilities

• Develops new business across all of our core competencies
• Identify, initiate and engage with clients that provide sustained and profitable revenue streams multiple services
• Develop and execute a business plan that will achieve sales quota and budget as defined by the company
• Work closely with local, regional and international operations staff to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met
• Present an array of logistics solutions that enable numerous entry points into accounts
• All other business duties as deems necessary
• Support and consulting of existing customers as well as further development of a professional cooperation
• Conducting sales and negotiation meetings
• Preparation of offers and calculations
• Processing of customer correspondence
• Preparation and assembly of accompanying documents (offers, concepts, presentations, etc.)
• Planning; organization and execution of customer visits
• Recording and ensuring data maintenance in the CRM as well as for cross-departmental topics in the CRM
• Implementation of regular review meetings
• Ensuring communication between Sales/Customer Service, Operations and to Management
• All other business duties as deems necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Completed further training as a forwarding specialist
• 3+ year’s relevant business to business sales experience in FreightForwardingAir/Oceanpreferred
