  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders for each project including landowners, farmers/contracting businesses, and potential feedstock providers. The role will continue to act as the primary interface to these stakeholders through the development and construction phase of each project.
  • Working closely with our consultants and using the support of the business undertake initial feasibility screening of these projects to ensure they are viable. This will include impact of legislation such as planning, environmental issues, location mapping and gas connections.
  • In conjunction with the Feedstock Director identifying potential feedstock suppliers within defined locations. Investigating previous planning histories and potential highways issues when considering feedstocks
  • Coordinate and ensure the necessary reports and business cases are provided to meet the ENGIE development authorisation process. This includes writing the investment reports.
  • Where required establish and maintain relationships with government departments (local government for planning, highways, environment agency, parish councils) to understand the requirements and likely impacts on a project.
  • Leading negotiation of commercial and contractual terms for the project for land and feedstock with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Working closely with the Operations Director and Project Director who will provide input into the project on site layout and technology during development and then to ensure a smooth transition and handover of the project as it moves into construction, commissioning and operation.
  • 3+ years prior experience in developing renewable projects in the UK.
  • Working knowledge of the UK AD sector and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of land agreements, grid connections and planning consent processes.
