Base pay range

Offering up to £38K basic, £10K+ uncapped commission, company car and great training & career progression. If this appeals, read on & APPLY TODAY!

THE ROLE:
  • As Business Development Manager, you will be joining a new division, targeting Builders Merchants, Roofing Merchants, Fenestration outlets and distributors across London and the South East.
  • As BDM, you will be selling roofing products such as rooflights, roof domes, sheeting and associated products that are ultimately used on roofing projects across various sectors.
  • You will liaise with your internal sales support team, as well as colleagues that sell into other routes to market.
  • As BDM, you will be winning and building a brand new client base of Builders Merchants, roofing merchants, fenestration outlets and showrooms and other distributors.
  • As Business Development Manager, you'll be covering London, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire Hertfordshire, Essex and Suffolk.
  • This initially is a new business focussed role that will evolve into a mix of new business and account management.
  • You will be on the road 4 days per week, typically meeting 7+ contacts per day. 1 day per week working from home.
  • You will on occasion be running training days in your merchants, educating them on the features and benefits of your products.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
  • The successful Business Development Manager will have a growth mindset, proven track record of achieving sales targets, be a confident, inquisitive individual and be able to demonstrate success in their career to date.
  • You'll be new business focussed, happy to cold call and also then build your account base. You'll be able to journey plan and be prepared to stay away from home on occasions.
  • Knowledge of the fenestration/roof lights industry is advantageous although not essential as excellent training is provided.
  • A track record of field sales success in the construction industry.
  • You'll be articulate, IT literate and wanting a long term career.
  • Experience of selling for a manufacturer, through merchants and distributors would be advantageous.
  • Our client is also happy to look at good candidates who currently sell on the road for a merchant or distributor and have the ambition to work for a leading manufacturer.
  • They're also keen to consider Trainee candidates from any sales background that is keen to develop their career in Field sales in the construction industry.
THE COMPANY:
  • Our client is a highly regarded, well established, multi-million £ turnover roofing/glazing manufacturer.
  • They have long standing employees and a family feel, offering excellent training and ongoing development.
THE REMUNERATION:
  • Uncapped Quarterly commission, with on target earnings of circa £10K+ in Year 1. Overachievement is very likely with the support you'll receive, so £60K+ earning potential is possible.
