Business Development Manager

Location: Remote, UK HQ Warrington, ideally based in "The Midlands"

Territory: UK

Industry: Specialist Metal fabrications, serving multiple industries

Are you a driven, results-focused sales professional looking for an exciting opportunity to make an impact? We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Business Development Manager to spearhead sales efforts in the UK. As the BDM, you will be at the heart of commercial operations, taking ownership of medium to large accounts and unlocking potential across your territory. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring business growth, and executing strategies to meet ambitious sales targets. With your in-depth product knowledge and strategic mindset, you will craft tailored solutions that align with client needs and elevate our brand in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Sales Performance:

Execute targeted commercial initiatives, driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.

Identify New Opportunities: Actively prospect and develop new business, driving margin improvements and forging strong customer relationships.

Account Management Excellence: Manage and grow medium to large accounts, nurturing long-term partnerships that deliver profitable results.

Establish Connections: Build rapport with key decision-makers and ensure seamless delivery on contractual commitments.

Manage Your Territory: Take ownership of territory coverage and lead funnel management, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities and high conversion rates.

Quote and Order Coordination: Handle quotes, orders, claims, and complaints, ensuring a smooth customer experience and timely resolution of issues.

Market Insight: Monitor industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve and capitalise on emerging opportunities.

Plan and Execute: Organise high-quality sales calls and visits to both new and existing customers, producing insightful reports to track progress and results.

CRM Mastery: Maintain up-to-date customer information, lead progression, and account plans within our CRM system, ensuring a streamlined process from start to finish.

Territory Coverage: Maximise reach and coverage across your customer base.

Account Growth: Deliver measurable growth within your accounts, focusing on both quantity and quality.

Account and Opportunity Management: Consistently produce and review detailed account and opportunity plans.

Proven ability to manage your own sales activities and meet performance targets independently.

Strong Account Management Skills: Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels to drive business growth.

Negotiation Savvy: Skilled at closing deals and negotiating win-win agreements.

Tech-Savvy: A natural interest in technology, with a commercial or technical qualification being a plus.

Solution-Oriented Sales Experience: Experience in business-to-business environments, with a focus on providing tailored solutions.

Proven Track Record: A history of successfully driving sales growth and managing customer relationships.

CRM Experience: Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is highly advantageous.
